Instruction = Intercession

What does this mean?

God is always giving us instruction before He intercedes.

A lot of times we read the Word of God but only partially. We read what sounds good to us which is most likely the intercession. But we block out the instruction. What good is it to nitpick the Word of God? You will never learn.

Example 1: Proverbs 3:5-6

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding but in all your ways submit to Him and He will make your paths straight". Many people will read this and only quote it partially. “I know that I’ll be ok, the Word of God says He’ll make my paths straight I don’t have to keep worrying about where I’m going”. BUT Instructions: 1. Are you trusting in Him with all your heart for this one circumstance until he helps you? Then after, will you do your own thing again and take matters into your own hands? Or will you not let your trusting and your praising be built on circumstances?

2. Are you leaning not on your own understanding?

3. Are you submitting to the Father?

Intercession if you do what He’s asked:

Your paths will be made straight AFTER you’ve done what He has asked of you.

Example 2: Romans 12:2

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will”. Here again people only see the intercession. Which is; being able to know what it is the Father wants you to do and what is pleasing and perfect to Him. Which is true for many of us we all want to know what the Father wants and requires from us. A lot of times we don’t know what to do or how to go about things. BUT in order to know this He gives us Instructions: 1.Do not conform to the pattern of this world. DO NOT CHANGE TO BE LIKE THE PEOPLE OF THIS WORLD WHO DO NOT LIKE TO OBEY CHRIST. 2.Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Let Him give you a new way of thinking. So that you will no longer be following and doing things with the mindset of a person out in the world but you will be following and doing things with the mindset of the Holy Spirit.

Intercession if you do this:

You will be able to test and approve what His good pleasing and perfect will is. You will get the answers and guidance you have been looking for.

‭‭ Example 3: 2 Chronicles‬ ‭7:14

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land”.

The things people read are; the Lord will forgive me for my sins. He will help those I love. BUT He gives instructions:

1.Humble yourself

2.Pray

3.Seek His face

4.Turn from your wicked ways.

Intercession:

He will forgive you of your sins and heal your land the people you love.

All these examples prove that we have to work and do what the Father requires of us. We cannot just expect handouts from the Father if we do nothing at all for Him. Keep in mind that He does not owe us ANYTHING. We should not feel like He owes us; considering that He already died for us so that our sins could be forgiven.
